Wdzięczność: jej natura i rodzaje

Abstrakt

Wdzięczność jest ważnym pojęciem w obszarze psychologii pozytywnej, psychologii religii oraz duchowości. Równocześnie trzeba przyznać, że tematyka ta była przez długi czas ignorowana. W psychologii poznawczej wskazuje się na jej znaczenie w życiu społecznym i jednostkowym dla poczucia dobrostanu, doświadczenia wsparcia i prospołecznych zachowań. Uogólniając, wdzięczność jest pozytywną odpowiedzią na uzyskaną korzyść. Osoba doświadcza wdzięczności, kiedy otrzymuje jakieś dobro -  od ludzi, okoliczności życiowych, natury, Boga. Celem tego artykułu jest prezentacja prób definiowania wdzięczności na gruncie psychologii i określania jej natury jako emocjonalnego stanu, cechy osobowości, nastroju, dyspozycji lub cnoty.
