Scope and Coverage of the Journal
Forum Psychologicum is a biannual, peer-reviewed, open-access international journal published in English by the Institute of Psychology at Ignatianum University in Kraków, Poland, since 2026. The journal covers a broad spectrum of topics within psychology and health sciences, accepting theoretical, quantitative, and qualitative articles. It publishes original research, reviews, research notes, and short communications, presenting empirical and theoretical work that aims to deepen understanding of mental processes at the individual, organizational, and institutional levels. Topics include cognitive, motivational, affective, and behavioral factors across various human life situations and contexts.
The journal publishes scientific articles in the following fields and disciplines:
- Field of social sciences/ psychology
- Field of medical and health sciences/health sciences
The journal aims to disseminate and bring psychological and health science issues to a wide range of diverse areas of the world. The journal cooperates with scientific centers at home and abroad to increase prestige and greater internationalization.
Issues of the journal are published with a specific theme (the so-called issue topic), presenting theoretical and empirical review texts. Articles related to the proposed theme of the issue are published first. In addition, the semiannual journal has permanent sections. The Varia section features scientific articles unrelated to the theme of the current issue. The Others section accepts reviews, reports, opinions, discussions, and other non-traditional (non-scored) scientific publications.
Submissions that do not meet formal requirements or adhere to publishing guidelines will not be processed. Topics for articles in the Others section must fall within the disciplines covered by Forum Psychologicum. The editors reserve the right to determine if proposed topics align with the journal’s publishing profile.
