Abstract

The aim of the article is to present the establishment of the branch of the Dante Alighieri Society in Lwów in 1929, along with editing the source material. The cause of the event itself had cultural inspirations based on Polish-Italian social relations between the Italian consul in Katowice – Ferruccio de Luppis, and the family of Adam and Janina de Lambert Ebenberger, which will be described in the article. The Jan Kazimierz University in Lwów also played an important role, within whose walls – thanks to the involvement of prof. Edmund Bulanda – the society found its headquarters.
