Educational aspect of disabled literary character from the work of Walt Disney in the primary education

Abstract

In the paper we focus on the educational aspect of Walt Disney's book that is available at the Slovak book market. The attention is given not only to the literary-historical context of its origin and the current perception, but particularly to the educational potential which it could have, despite of its obscure artistic value. The educational dimension of the realization of a disabled literary character of bellman within the primary education will be presented on the chosen W. Disney's book (The Hunchback of Notre-Dame), coming from animated movie from Disney's workshop (and inspired by V. Hugo novel The Hunchback of Notre-Dame).

Author Biography

Radoslav Rusňák, University of Presov in Presov, Faculty of Education Department of Communicative and Literary Education

Author of the paper is an assistant professor in the Department of Communication and Literary Education in the Faculty of Education at the University of Presov. His research-scientific profile includes literary-theoretical and literary-critical analysis of Slovak and world artistic creation for the children and youth as well as axiological literature aspects for the children and youth. In particular, he deals with the interpretation of the artistic text and world literature for the children and youth in didactic transformation. He works intensivelly on granted projects. He is an author of the monograph The Modern Fairy Tale and Its Children´s Reception, of the university textbook World Literature for the Children and Youth in Didactic Communication, co-author of the university textbook Integrated Didactics of Slovak Language and Literature for Primary Education as well as numerous scientific studies.
