Doctor of Humanities in the field of History (Jagiellonian University), graduate of Executive MBA studies at the Business School of the Cracow University of Technology and Central Connecticut State University (New Britain, US), Bachelor in Mediterranean Cultural Studies and Master of Arts in History as well as Management and Marketing (all at the Jagiellonian University) in addition to Social Media and Content Marketing (AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow).

Assistant Professor at the Institute of Political Science and Administration (previously at the Institute of Cultural Studies) at the Jesuit University Ignatianum in Cracow and lecturer at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow.

His scientific interests are focused on two areas: 1) cultural and political history of the Eastern Mediterranean in the late Middle Ages and early modern era, including travel making to Central Asia, and 2) management, marketing and economics in the areas of culture, including intercultural management.

Author of four books, editor and co-editor of ten collective works and several dozen articles in scientific journals on top of chapters in monographs published in Poland and abroad (e.g. in Israel, Cyprus, England). Organizer and member of organizing and scientific committees of several international conferences held in Poland and abroad. Auxiliary supervisor of two promoted Doctors of Humanities in the field of Cultural Sciences and Religious Studies.

Scholar of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for Young and Outstanding Scientists (2014-2017). He received Rector’s Awards at the AIK (2014, 2020 – I degree), the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy’s award (2018) and Pro Studente award (2016).

He performs a number of administrative functions: Director of Scientific Journal Projects (2019-2020), Director of Scientific Journal at the AIK (since 2020), Editor-in-chief of the scoring Perspectives on Culture journal (since 2019, 100 points), secretary of the Ignatian Social Forum (since 2020), member of the board of the Ignatianum Foundation (since 2020). Reviewer in several high-scoring journals.

He is a member of the Society for the Study of the Crusades and the Polish Society of Cultural Studies. Manager and contractor in grants financed by the Ministry of Education and Science (formerly the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, e.g., De minimis, DIALOG), the National Science Centre and the National Centre for Research and Development.

For many years, he has been cooperating with businesses as a manager, trainer and consultant. He is also a member of Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) expert teams in projects commissioned by the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM) and an associate of the European Centre for Employee Affairs (EZA).
