Ethics of Management in the Media

Necessity, Assumptions, and Consequences

Keywords: public relations, ethics, media

Abstract

This article addresses the issue of ethics in media management, presenting it as a crucial element of both theoretical reflection and editorial practice. In the context of technological change and economic pressures, ethical principles become an essential point of reference for decisions made by broadcasters, editorial teams, and the media community as a whole. The authors analyze selected areas in which contemporary developments—including advances in artificial intelligence and the spread of disinformation—are reshaping the understanding of responsible media management. The article seeks to identify the directions in which media ethics is evolving and to assess its significance for the quality of social communication in a rapidly changing media environment.
