Journal History

The quarterly "Elementary Education in Theory and Practice" has been published since 2006, initially by the Jan Długosz Academy in Częstochowa and the Regional Teacher Training Centre "WOM" in Częstochowa. Since 1 October 2009, RODN ,,WOM" in Częstochowa and the Higher School of Philosophy and Pedagogy ,,Ignatianum" in Krakow have assumed substantial and scientific patronage over the magazine. In 2010/2012, the quarterly was edited by the School of Philosophy and Pedagogy "Ignatianum" in Krakow (now the Ignatianum University) and RODN "WOM" in Częstochowa.

Since 2013, "Elementary Education in Theory and Practice" has been published by the Faculty of Pedagogy at the Jesuit University in Krakow (now the Ignatianum University in Cracow).
The initiator and editor-in-chief from 2006 to 2015 was Prof. UIK  Jolanta Karbowniczek. Since 2016, the editor-in-chief has been Prof. UIK Barbara Surma.
